Downpatrick Scouts @ Columbanus Shield

From user

Downpatrick Scout Group recently took part in the Columbanus Shield Competition in Tollymore Forest Park. Nearly the entire troop took part with 22 scouts in 3 patrols. Over the weekend they were tested on their campcraft, First Aid, Dakota Firepits and Coracle building. The group did very well gaining a Silver and 2 Bronze awards as well as being awarded the Lord Roden Shield and a Spirit of Scouting award. There was also a visit on-site from the Chairperson of Newry, Mourne & Down District Council who was very impressed with the efforts by all 15 patrols, representing 9 troops on the site.
