What a weekend! We had our first sunny weekend of the year (if you can selectively forget the showers of rain on Sunday). Rain or shine, Scouts from all of our sections are in the outdoors planning and doing their own activities.
Youngest first. Beaver Scouts from Cork City hiked up Corin Hill in Fermoy, Cork!
There were Cub Scouts out and about in Kilcully Campsite.
SURVIVOR – A backwoods survival challenge where patrols/teams had to live off the land and the minimum supplies they could get their hands on for the weekend.
Of course, there were plenty of teams out practicing camp craft skills, as part of County Challenges and getting prepared for the Phoenix Challenge!
Downpatrick Scouts were out hill walking in the Mournes.
Maynooth Venture Scouts were serving their community by marshalling a local run in aid of charity.
Firhouse Rover Scouts toasted marshmallows while bidding farewell to one of their Rover Advisors!
That’s a quick round-up of a really active weekend for Scouting Ireland across the length and breadth of the island.
Have you got an amazing scout story from this weekend or any time that we’ve missed out on? Sorry, we didn’t spot it! Make sure we know about it and can share your scouting story.
